Mother And Father-In-Law: Mr. And Mrs. E. J. Lefebvre, Iii (Natchez, Ms.) Brother In Law: Heath C. Lefebvre (Natchez, Ms.) Chef John-Martin Terranova Was Born June 7, 1962, In New Orleans, La. The Son Of Anthony Joseph And Ana Dreiss Terranova. Mr. Terranova Was A Graduate Of Jesuit High School In New Orleans, La. And Then Attended The Prestigious Culinary Arts Department Of Johnson And Wales College In Charleston, South Carolina Where He Graduated Suma Cum Laude And First In His Class In August, 1987. Upon Graduation, He Served His Culinary Apprenticeship At The Ritz-Carlton Hotel In Atlanta, Ga., Upon Completing His Apprenticeship, He Was Chef At Carolina's Restaurant In Charleston, Sc And Owen Brennan's Restaurant In Memphis, Tn. He Then Returned To New Orleans As The First American-Born Chef At The Sazerack Restaurant In The Fairmont Hotel. He Then Moved To Natchez, Ms. As Chef And Co-Owner Of Liza's Restaurant And Later He Opened John- Martin's Restaurant, Natchez Under-The-Hill. At The Time Of His Death He Was Executive Chef And Food And Beverage Director Of Dunleith Plantation, Natchez, Ms. During His Career He Received First Place At Pya Food Show In Charleston, Sc; Hot Food Gold Medal - Acf Event, Myrtle Beach, Sc. Hot Food Gold Medal - Student Event; Jones And Wales Charleston-Chef Of The Year Award. Mr. Terranova's Talents Were Presented In Leading Culinary Magazines Such As Southern Living, Foder's Travel Guide, Southern Accents, And Gourmet Magazine And Food And Wine Magazine And Many Others. Funeral Services Will Be Held Friday, December 27, 2002 At 11:00 Am From St. Mary Basilica, With Father Alfred Camp Officiating. Burial Will Follow At Natchez City Cementery, Under The Direction Of Laird Funeral Home. Visitation Was On Thursday, December 26, 2002 From 5:00 To 8:00 Pm At St. Mary Basilica. Pallbearers: Heath C.
