DiCorte, Jacob (b. 26 Feb 1915, d. 16 Aug 1992)
Note: DeCorte - Jacob DeCorte, a retired chemist, died Sunday at JoEllen Smith Hospital. He was 77. Mr. DeCorte was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was chief chemist and supervisor of the Quality Control and Inspection Department for Celotex Manufacturing Co. when he retired in 1982 after 40 years of service. He was a member of the American Chemical Society and the Algiers Point Chapter No. 3975 of the American Association of Retired Persons. Survivors include his wife, Amelia 'Blondie' Rojas DeCorte; a brother, Joseph P. DeCorte of Houston; and two sisters, Grace DeCorte McEvoy of New Orleans and Catherine DeCorte Ruel of Lacombe. A Mass will be said today at 1 p. m. at Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, 1717 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery No. 1. 08-19-1992 Times Picayune
