LALA- On Wednesday, September 1, 1948 at 12:35 pm Antonino Lala of 1637 Foucher Street, beloved husband of Caroline Tamburello, father of Nicholas, John, Sylvester, Francis, Raymond, Joseph, Anthony and Elizabeth Lala, Mrs. Joseph L. Restivo, Mrs Thomas O. Porteous and the Late Mrs. Peter J. Giovenco; survived by 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grand children; aged 74 years; a native of this city. Funeral took place on Thursday, September 2, 1948 at 9 am from the funeral home of Lamana-Panno-Falo, Inc. 625 North Rampart Street, near Municipal Auditorium. Requiem mass at Our Lady of Good Councel church. Interment in Metairie Cemetery. Contessa Entellina Benevolent Association, Italian hall 1020 Esplanade Avenue, the burial committee of the Contessa Entellina Society were invited to assemble at the Italian hall 1020 Esplanade Avenue on Thursday; September 2, 1948 at 8 am to attend the funeral of our late brother, Antonino Lala. Funeral will take place from the funeral home of Lamana-Panno-Falo, Inc. 625 North Rampart Street at 9 am. By order of Lucas Schiro, Pres. Attested J. Amato.
