DiGiovanni, Francesco (b. 3 Mar 1887, d. 1951)

Note: Mr grandfather was Francesco Di Giovanni b.1889 and died in 1951. He arrived at port in New Orleans and lived their most of his life, buried in New Orleans. His brother Salvatore Di Giovanni and my great-grandmother, Caterina Montalbano Di Giovanni lived in Chicago during the '20's thru 1970 except Caterina died in about 1935 or 1937 and is buried at the Queen of Heaven (?) Cemetery in Hillside, IL. Franceso worked as a cigar maker in Tampa and in New Orleans and was known by his nickname as "Frank The Greek". Savatore's kids although my older cousins was respected by me as "aunt" or "uncle" They used their Americanized names of Joseph, Anthony, Lawrence, Vince, Teresa and Catherine. and lived on the near north side most of their adult lives, working in the loop at various jobs at the Wrigley Building, etc.
