Note: Per information given to me by Debra Tucker "My great-grandmother (who's pet name was Lora) was born to Luca Cuccia and Domentica (Montaleone) Cuccia, who were from Contessa. She is not on your pedigree list because she and her older sister were actually born in the US. and they returned to Italy, only to return again to the US when she was about 10-12. This is the family story as well. You don't show her or her older sister on your pedigree, but you do show younger siblings.
Luca Cuccia and wife Domenica Monteleone and children, Giovanni, Antonino, Dorotea, Pietro and Maria are on the ship Printz Georg arriving December 9, 1883 Palermo to New Orleans.

All the sisters and brothers of Giovanna Cuccia (spouse of Calogero Plescia) are deceased, and so are some of their children, however the family is one of the biggest in Contessa. It is known as "Strollakrat" by the nickname of Antonino (1850). In Arbresh "stollaku" means "who sees the stars and make provisions-from Latin Astrogogus. " He was a particular person, made poems on verse language and in Arberesh and those are very interesting. For this we are very proud to have this name and the "strollak inspiration" is a prerogative researched in all the descendants. "

Note: On his WWI draft registration card September 1918, he is living at 943 E. Peco Street; Los Angeles, California. He is a self-employed fruit dealer, grower. His wife is Sarah Cuccia at the same address. He is tall of medium build, with gray eyes and light hair.
Peter is in the 1920 US census of California. With him is his wife Sarah and children Luca P. and Minnie A. Cuccia. He is a partner in wholesale produce. In the next household is Sarah's brother Anist Musacchia listed as a laborer.
