Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 9 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Marvin Poole. Interment in Rose Memorial Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Ida Jane Blake, Denham Springs, and Margaret White, Galvez; a son, Joe Monistere, Hammond; two grandchildren, John Blake and Jeremy Monistere; two sisters, Phyllis Dixon, Hammond, and Lena Campo, New Orleans; and a brother, Joe Monistere, Hammond. Preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Marchese Monistere; second wife, Anna Rita Heim Monistere; parents, Albert and Ida Monistere; four sisters, Pauline Crapanzano, Katie Sciara, Fannie Peco and Mary Ann Monistere; and two brothers, Chris and Nick Monistere. He was a member of Springfield American Legion Post.
