"Information for the Guiseppe (Joseph DiBartolo) family was provided by Stella Bartoli, circa 1978. Louisana records have confirmed most names and dates. She stated that Joseph immigrated to New Orleans, Louisanna, but did not know the year. After his sons were grown, there was a family argument which resulted in some sons moving to the east coast and others to the west coast. At that time, the spelling of the name was also changed. The east coast family adopted DeBartolo as their last name. On the west coast, the original spelling of DiBartolo was kept by James Anthony, but it was changed to Bartoli by one of the other sons, probably John Bartoli.
