Liuzza, Pasquale (b. 9 Nov 1867, d. 21 Dec 1923)

Note: Pasquale at the age of 16 arrived in the US on the ship SS Caradoc December 31 1883 Palermo to New Orleans. He is with his father Calogero and his brother Nicolo.
Pascal is in the 1910 US census of Louisiana, Orleans Parish, New Orleans, Ward 3, ED 31, Sheet 4B. With him is his wife Sarah, and children; Santa, Rosalie and Carlo. Also in the household is an Aunt, listed as Norcia Mandala, a widow age 60, born in Italy and her son Salvadore age 31, born in Italy an elevator operator in a department store. Pascal is a proprietor of a grocery store. His wife Sarah, has had four children, three are living. She came to the US in 1892.

Pasquale Liuzza age 51 is in the 1920 US census of Louisiana, Orleans Parish, New Orleans, E. D. # 35. He is living at 1321 Tulane Avenue, near South Liberty. With him is his wife Rosalia, children Santa age 18, Rosa age 14 , son Carl age 11, and brother-in law Salvatore M. Mandalla, age 26. Pasquale came to the US in 1883 and was naturalized in 1904. Rosalia came to US in 1892 and was naturalized in 1904. Salvatore came to the US in 1892 and was naturalized in 1914.

At Los Angeles, California on Friday, December 21, 1923 at 7:05 o'clock a.m. Pascal Liuzza, beloved husband of Sarah Mandella, aged 56 years, native of Contessa Entellina, Italy and a resident of this city for the past 42 years. Due notice of the funeral will be given, which will take place from the late residence of the deceased 1321 Tulane Avenue.

Note: He was naturalized on October 27, 1927. His address was 512 West Elm in Chicago, IL. Listed as children living in Italy-Pasqua was 18, Govanni age 14, and Josephina age 9. On Peter Latino's death certificate: Peter Latino died Dec 8 1961 in Westmont, IL. His father was John Latino and his mother was Esther Manale. At that time he was married for the 3rd time to Alvina. All I know about her is she was German. They didn't have any children. I believe he only lived in Westmont for 6 years. Up till then he was in Chicago.
