Musacchia, Theodore or Teodoro (b. 25 Sep 1847, d. 26 Jul 1928)

Theodore Musacchia, 82 years old , for many years one of the prominent Italian residents of New Orleans and a leader for many years in the fruit and produce business in New Orleans and Algiers, who died Thursday morning at his home1220 Bourbon Street. Will be buried in Metairie cemetery after funeral services at St. MaryÙus Italian church 1114 Chartres street, at 3:30 p.m. today. Mr. Musacchia, who lived in New Orleans for forty-seven years, was active in business until his retirement six years ago. He was a native of Contessa Entellina, Italy, and one of the first members of the Contessa Entellina Society. Mrs. Musacchia, his widow, who was Josephine Lala; Mrs. Anna Liuzza, a daughter; Nicholas Musacchia, a son; Mrs. Peter Terranova of New Orleans and Mrs. N. Guilo of Tampa, Florida, sisters, are surviving members of the family. Theodore Liuzza, T.R.L. radio announcer of the Item-Tribune, is a grandson.
